Solo Kit License Agreement

This license agreement ("License") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and Solo Kit for the Solo Kit starter kit software, which includes computer software and associated documentation.

1. Grant of License

Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, Solo Kit grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Solo Kit starter kit code for the following purposes:

  • Create unlimited commercial and personal projects
  • Modify and customize the code to fit your needs
  • Deploy applications built with Solo Kit to any platform
  • Use the code in client projects (with proper attribution)

2. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Redistribute or resell the original Solo Kit starter kit code
  • Create competing starter kit or template products using our code
  • Remove or modify copyright notices and attributions
  • Share your license with others or allow unauthorized access
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Use the code for illegal or harmful purposes

3. Ownership and Copyright

Solo Kit retains all intellectual property rights in the original starter kit code. This License does not transfer any ownership rights to you. The code is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions.

You own the rights to any modifications, additions, or derivative works you create using the Solo Kit starter kit, but the original code remains the property of Solo Kit.

4. Attribution Requirements

While not required for end-user applications, we appreciate attribution when possible. If you choose to provide attribution, you may include:

  • "Built with Solo Kit" in your application footer or about page
  • A link to solokit.dev (optional but appreciated)

Attribution is NOT required for applications you build and deploy for end users.

5. Updates and Support

Your license includes access to updates and improvements to the Solo Kit starter kit for the duration of your license period. Support is provided through our documentation and community channels.

6. Third-Party Components

Solo Kit includes various open-source components and libraries, each with their own licenses. You are responsible for complying with the terms of these third-party licenses. A complete list of dependencies and their licenses can be found in the package.json and documentation files.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SOLO KIT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL SOLO KIT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF SOLO KIT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Termination

This License is effective until terminated. Your rights under this License will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term(s) of this License. Upon termination, you shall cease all use of the software and destroy all copies.

Applications you have already built and deployed using Solo Kit may continue to operate even after license termination.

10. Governing Law

This License shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Entire Agreement

This License constitutes the entire agreement between you and Solo Kit concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.
